Gregorio Tenti
Gregorio Tenti received his BA in Philosophy from the University of Turin with a thesis on visual morphogenesis in Bataille and Deleuze. From the same institution, he received his MA in Theoretical Philosophy with a thesis on Gilbert Simondon’s theory of form. He later earned his PhD in Aesthetics from the University of Genoa with a dissertation on Friedrich Schleiermacher’s aesthetic thinking. During his MA and PhD studies, he spent twelve months as a visiting student at the Freie Universität Berlin.
From 2023 to 2024, he conducted a research project on Bracha L. Ettinger’s Notebooks supported by a Fellowship from the University of Turin and the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art. Also in 2023-24, he was a Research Fellow at the a.r.t.e.s. Research Lab of the University of Cologne. From 2024 to 2026, he held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), with a research project on language and the ecopolitics of extinction.
He is a member of several academic societies (such as SIE, ESA, SIP), research groups and centers (such as ART, the UPF Center for Vattimo’s Philosophy and Archive, the UPF Center for Studies on Planetary Wellbeing) and editorial boards (Itinera, Trópos, ILAe).
He has published more than 40 scientific contributions including books, articles and other publications.
His research spans the history of modern German aesthetics, 20th-century French and Italian philosophy, and the contemporary debates in environmental and planetary thinking. He is currently exploring the concept of planetary infrastructure and navigating the depths of German psychophysics.
